Drive through the Batinah region to reach the village of Nakhal, place of one of the most famous Omani forts.
Nakhal fort was built in 17th century above an ancient pre-Islamic structure. It is hosting traditional furnitures, handicrafts and historic artifacts which show how the life inside the fort was at the time of the Imam rulers of the Yaruba Dynasty and over. The fort is surrounded by a date palms plantation which is nice to observe from the top of its battlements.
After the visit a short drive will lead you to the Wakan Village. Here you can walk through the village and enjoy your lunch.
Drive then towards Rustaq also famous for its fort Al Hazm, with beautiful gates adorned with verses from the Holy Qur'an, and its hot water springs which is responsible for irrigation for massive palm plantation. The hot springs (Ain Al Kasfa) are said to have medicinal value by which old days people where healing with its medial effect.
You will be dropped off to your hotel in the afternoon.
