Departure from your hotel in Muscat after breakfast. In this full day tour, you will reach first the city of Sur. Sur is the main city of Ash Sharqiyah region, and in the past, it was one of the biggest port in Oman, from where the commercial ships raise anchors to East Africa.
Sur is still considered the most important site for the construction of the traditional wooden ships. You will visit one of the last nautical shipyards of the whole Middle East, a great opportunity to look very closely at the handmade construction of these incredible ships.
On the road back to Muscat, you will stop in other interesting places like the ancient city of Qalhat, with the ruins of the Mausoleum of Bibi Miriam. You will have an amazing experience in Wadi Tiwi where the road, following the Wadi and its canyon, goes up and down allowing you to see hide villages, palms and mango trees and spectacular views.
After Wadi Tiwi you will stop in Bimmah Sinkhole, a water-filled depression where you can refresh your tired feet and take a few minutes of rest before heading back to Muscat.
You will be dropped off at your hotel in the late afternoon.
